While talking about a possible art trade I realized I haven't uploaded any of my updated Pokemon designs. Welp, since its the 25th Anniversary of Pokemon, there is no better time then now!

Some may recognize my old Charizard Blaze. He is based on my FireRed Charizard with an updated move set. Blaze is a decedent of Mewtwo's clone Charizard that left to live in the Wilds of Jhoto during Mewtwo Returns. The markings he bares came from being wild caught in Johto as a Charmander before being given to his trainer as a last resort when there was a shortage of Kantonian breed starters for young trainers. No one knows how or why these Johto Charmanders have these markings. Unlike his ancestor, Blaze doesn't possess any "clone" enhanced strength. He does however have bright hot blue fire on his tail from over 20 years of training. His fire attacks also take on this intense blue heat. As a result, he is more likely to inflict burn status effects on his opponents.

Blaze's most treasured accomplishment was beating the Kanto League. His trainer was young and inexperienced, as most new trainers are, and really only trained/battled with him during their time in Kanto. As a result, Blaze was extremely over leveled and easily tackled most of the gyms. This lead to Blaze being cocky and over confidant. It wasn't until they got their butts handed to them at League that they realized their folly. Most would have tried to train up their other pokemon and work as a team, but Blaze and his trainer were stubborn. It took several tries, but FINALLY Blaze and his trainer beat the Elite Four and the Champion single-handedly. Before traveling to Johto, his trainer melted down their gold league trophy into a set of bracelets for Blaze to wear as a reminder of not only his strength, but to learn from past mistakes and never give up. Ever since the league, Blaze and his trainer worked hard to make sure everyone on the team got proper training and use.
