Over the weekend, Kinka and I went out and started flying some kites. So for my 15th picture for March, I drew Kyu with a kite.

It was a big thing when I was little (we're talking the 1980's), they'd always have those small throwaway balsa wood gliders at the gas station up the road every spring (and kites), they were like $1 or something and it would have a random plane inside. We were always trying to get specific ones, but never would. Of course, after they crashed a few times, they were broken beyond repair................but you get what you get for a buck! chuckle

Childhood memories...they seem so good when you're an adult! :)
The park where I lived when I was a kid had a really huge field in it--so it was always perfect for kites and gliders. Around the houses there were too many trees and wired poles.

It would've been bad if I tried that the other day (we had a tornado warning.......so it was super-windy! XD). I always had so much fun flying kites when I was little...also those balsa wood planes you put together. :)
