The Dapper Frilled Lizard. This should have taken a day or two to complete. I have had to deal with a lot of crap this past 3 weeks. I mean life altering crap (Crap for a journal post later), so I was not able to get this finished in a timely manner. However, I am pleased with the out come. Reptiles are hard enough, but frill lizards are even harder (Especially when I actually have never done one). Had little trouble with this one, once I actually got to work on it.

Acrylics on Masonite, 8” x 10” (20cm x 25cm)

Very dapper indeed, and I think you did an excellent job C: Gosh though, all the detail in the scales!

      Thank you [Grin]
Scales are why reptiles can be difficult to paint... But I can do it!

Wonderfully done as usual. But I have to say I think I liked the tone study version better (maybe it is because it had a sepia tone, old time look that worked so well with the style).

I understand that. I believe is because the human eye sees monotone images clearer then color images. Color while visible provides to much information and there by over loads the eye with to much information.
