Portrait of a Dwarven Cleric (WIP: Tonal Map)
This is a tonal map, or tonal under painting. I work in layers, and glazes and this is the first real layer of many. Though the sketch (Here: http://stickypawz.timduru.org/Art/01JemDrkMan.htm) on to the surface, and the light toning wash of the surface could count as 2 others. Once this is fully dry, I will start the real application of paint.

About 4 hours (not real sure) of work thus far (not counting all the prepping). Also, I am using new and better paint (M. Graham oils) I am not used to, so the color is a lot richer, and redder then I had expected. Additionally, a little of this paint goes a long way, as the pigment load is so much more then the Windsor & Newtons oils I used to use.

18” x 24”, Oils on Masonite.

Haven't been able to focus on this the past few days. Getting only an hour or 2 in sense Friday. Slow, it feels like I am crawling on this.
