Commission for dolphinfriend

Sorry for not being productive as of late, still having the “Blaas”. I am working on stuff, just having a time off. All I want to do is stick my head in a hole and forget everything. This is the first a several commission taken to help me through a rough patch. So, Misha's request was his toon helping some other random toon in some way. Sense he is set in a fantasy 1600's setting, I included a friar, and sense I think badgers make the best clergy, I chose a badger reminiscent of Friar Gregory (Fursuit I made as a side project some time ago). I was going to call it “Two Mules for Brother Sam”, as a joke/nod to the Clint Eastwood movie “Two Mules for Sister Sara”, but I was afraid to many would not get it. It was a bit of a stretch.

It was also nice to do a charcoal again, I haven't done one as a commission for some time. I love the way it looks and the way it makes my studio smell (of pencil shavings and potential).

Media: Charcoal on Bristol
Size: 11" x 14"

Oh I really love this! They have a great line of action, good weight with the malamute pulling on the badger's arm.
Also, them folds on the malamute's costume are awesome! You've really portrayed a good sense of its material!
