Oh yeah, I should probs invest in one of those. Do you think I'm overdoing the vibrato? It's sort of a bad habit of mine.

at some points yeah. it should really be the focus or a quirk maybe twice in a song? other than that its a bit too much. i had the same problem too, and so does my sister when she sings (but she tries to be Beyonce and is all nasal and lets forget that). slow crescendos and dynamics are better than too much vibrato.

Alright I gotcha. Was there anything in particular you did to stop doing that? I've been working on it, but it's gotten sort of habitual. But thanks though the feedback helps, especially with something I've sorta been worried about.

i just noticed when i was doing it and instead tried to hold my pitch or do a slower crescendo or diminuendo

One thing I tried to do was practice songs where I was likely to fall into vibrato but it really doesn't sound good to iron that out.

I think what usually happens is this assumption that not doing vibrato won't sound good, but having things to go on for how to sound good anyway helps. Or I'm just not realizing that my voice sounds fine without in those moments too.
