Wasn't that a time? by Ruslan

Wasn't that a time?

Ruslan

1967 Ford custom 500, abandoned at a derelict wrecker's yard. Oh the days this thing must have seen. I feel like i could have just climbed in, and everything would have been as it was so long ago.

That, however, is no more than a daydream, something which could not happen. I'm sad to see history treated like this, but at the same time, I can relate, there are just days when we feel defeated, and don't want to press on. It's somewhat of a visual representation of the situation.

But in the end, all we need is someone to be there for us, and they need us to be there for them. I realize it's a bit of an odd thing to say for a first submission, but I can't help it. I've been thinking a lot tonight.

When I see old things, or explore old places, it definitely gives that sense of existential awareness, that everything over time will pass, and in a hundred years a brand new car which rolled off the lot today, may be sitting in a field like this one.
