Many things reminds you of your loved ones.
One night at the Astronomy campsite we organized with SAFIR (the astronomy club from my faculty) I wasn't very aware of my feelings of loneliness. Shameful to say, because I'd sound so vain, but I was quite most excited/nervous because of how I was managing the telescopes' area and if I was being enough clear when explaining scientific facts to the general public (yay popular science!).
It was a quite cloudy night and I was scared we were not going to get a clear view. What we would do if it didn't before sunrise and we missed our chance to see the Space Shuttle Discovery and the Hubble, flying, falling eternally at a high speed... but then, almost past midnight, it did!
One of the first stars I could see was the bright red Antares. As a city dweller I had always trouble in seeing the constellations at whole but this time I could see it clearly. I started explaining and pointing my telescope here and there while showing our students and their families many heavenly bodies.
In the quietness of that moonless night I glanced at Scorpius, that new constellation, and carved it in my memory. Indeed it looks like a scorpion... but there was something else... or was it someone? I sighed at the beautifulness of the sight and continued with my outdoor class ^^;;;
Back in Mexico City, I glanced to the night sky. And, while not as starry as it was in the campsite, I could see that shape. When I was seeing it I could feel something. a mirage. I was stargazing meanwhile the Moon was going toward Antares and then it hit me.
"¡Es Luna jugando con la Luna!" ("Is Luna playing with the Moon!")

My Windows XP installation got corrupt so I had to work in Ubuntu Studio. This piece is 100% made of free software: Starfield rendered with Stellarium, lineart scanned with XSane & inking and composite made with GIMP... I felt like a newbie again @__@
Lunamew is that adorable critter made by the even more adorable hatiimiga :3
