I just really...really really wanted to draw that spine/fin curve.

  Yesss, spring+speckle makes me so happy! :D And I AGREE, I have such problems with those spines- I've taken to making them flexible, more like fish fins since it seems the poor dragons could hardly MOVE if they were rigid like armor plating.
