The Columbus zoo has an elderly alligator snap and I'm convinced the thing's mouth is actually a bear trap

It looks like the turtle is trying to tell of an amazing event. What a happy snapper :D

Love this character's "come give Grandma a hug " stance....while the studies on the right are perhaps closer to the truth. Snapping turtles are utterly terrifying IRL, like something H.P. Lovecraft would have had nightmares about. But of course you found a way to make one endearing anyway!
I'm still keeping a respectful distance.......
