The armadillo smiles, and people wonder why. Armadillos like her are known for carrying leprosy. While leathery armor runs from snout tip to tail tip, she is not known for their fighting abilities. All she does when attacked is curl up into an armored ball. Her attacker bats her around while she hopes that he will lose interest. Or when startled while crossing roads, she leaps into the air, making them a better target for cars to hit. There is no reason for her to smile, facing all that hardship.
