Rooth & Friend on deck -- by Priscilla Kim by Rooth

Rooth & Friend on deck -- by Priscilla Kim

Rooth

I went to Spectrum Fine Arts one year (2017?), a fabulous fine arts and illustration convention designed mostly for artists to network with other artists and art directors and such, and attend panels from internationally renown illustrators and so forth ... but boy, as a commissioner, it's extremely dangerous. ;) SO many great people there, great artists. And a renown scifi/fantasy con was happening simultaneously in a neighboring hotel, whose guest was George R R Martin, so I got to meet him, too. WOW. What a weekend. :) I wanted to go again the following year, but it didn't happen that year. Some sort of scheduling foulup.

ANYHOW -- there I met Priscilla Kim, who has some really fabulous fantasy art. After wandering the dealer's room and artists' alley (which was chock full of amazing artists, too!), I frequented her booth and finally asked her for a commission. Now, mind you, this art is old, like 2 or 3yrs. As is the other comm I got from her of my Kenku https://twitter.com/autumnflame/status/984487599225131009 ... and now she's doing art for Pathfinder and other stuff. She's a terrific artist, go check her out.

This piece depicts me (as Rooth!) chillaxin' with my dearest friend on my deck, a passtime we've been missing all too much these past few months locked in our respective houses 'cause of COVID. That deck, btw, she basically designed; I did some engineering on it, and my contractor did the hard stuff. ;)
