Kamakru made this way back in May of 2016, but I never cross-posted it. I went through a long period of lazy posting, mostly prompted by FA being down a lot at the time and probably some drama or another going on there. But PostyBirb is helping me catch up.

Here, Kamakru made a marvelous piece depicting Rooth as a protective force of nature, a sort of cosmic spirit dragon if you will. It represents those existential moments of my life where I'm enthralled by life itself, by the nature of existence, and amazed at how our universe came to where it is now, most especially our galaxy, our world. It's represented in other pieces I've commissioned also, where Rooth may be hugging the planet or protecting the solar system. They're sort of epiphanal moments where one glimpses the vastness of existence and marvels at it, without being dismayed, daunted, or depressed about our insignificant part in it. We enter into it only to behold it. It is as close to a true sense of selflessness as I have been mentally and spiritually capable, thusfar. And to me, protection can be a form of selflessness, or at least, it can be.
