I decided that I would learn how to make a tiled background today, so this is my first attempt! I had a lot of fun, but I'm definitely going all digital instead of doing the lines traditionally next time ahaha.
FYI this isn't the tile-able image. If you want the file for your blog or anything, let me know and I'll send it to you privately!
This is cute as heck! I always ink my pattern elements traditionally (bc I can't ink digitally, oops) and it helps me to color everything, then merge layers before I make the pattern in another file. :3 Not sure how you did it, but maybe that'll help a bit!
Can't wait to see more patterns from you~
Ohh I kind of see what you mean!! I'll definitely take that into consideration next time I try it out.
This is actually the original tutorial I used:

It encourages you to kind of draw it all at once? But the cutting gave me troubles with the line-up that I had to fix digitally.
yess gastly <3 do you have any tips on making lovely tiled backgrounds like this? i've always been interested but i dont know where to start!
This is actually the tutorial I used to start!

Best of luck, I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
might i also ask what art program did you use to make your design like, perfectly cut in half or cut into the corners? i use sai and i'm not sure how i'd do that with sai, but i also have gimp. any advice is good, really. i feel like such a noob
Oh gosh I'd actually love to get this printed on some fabric so I can make a bandana or something ;;' would that be okay with you?
Oh, sure! I was thinking of making a Spoonflower account?? Unless there's a different way I'd be able to print fabrics that you'd suggest!
I'm flattered that you'd like my design enough to wear it, like seriously! I'd love to make pouches, quilts, bags, etc out of my future patterns too!
Spoonflower is actually the best I know of haha, so I say go for it! Hella excited about this now eeee. Honestly I'd kill for a drawstring bag of this pattern, I feel like that would be every flavour of badass.
Lookin' forward to what you make with future patterns too! I'll definitely try to put aside some cash.
