I have many characters with their own stories and relationships, the majority of them complicated as heck, and trying to accurately portray such characters' troubles is difficult for me - so I rarely illustrate it. This is my attempt.

It's hard to stay optimistic when your best friend is constantly a downer - it starts to rub off on you, and when you fall deeper into the darkness sometimes it's your friend who hoists you up on his shoulders to keep you from sinking farther down.
