This was one of my first days in Canada this march. I'd never seen frozen lakes until this day - because in the UK - it just doesnt often get that cold enough to freeze things all the way accross .. and if it does? YOU DO NOT WALK ON FROZEN LAKES.. this is something hammered into us from birth.. so much so i still only walked out only 5 metres onto the lake :P..

Still this was going sunset, and i was taking photos over the lake - before i turned right and just spotted the rediculously pretty reflection of the sun in the puddles of water on top of the ice.. and thought .. wow .. o.o .. so -- a couple of experimental shots later - this happened!
