Rocket T. Coyote is a self-taught hunter and can manage most small game. Deer hunting is another activity at which he somewhat good. He lets the deer get almost on top of him before shooting, preferring to secret himself in a natural deadfall rather than a pop-up stand. He enjoys venison (no offense to you ungulates out there), having a dozen different recipes with which to prepare it.
Here, RTC heads into the woods for a hunt early in the season toting his trusty "Parts Mauser" in .308 Winchester. Since the woods are dense, a scope isn't much use, so it's just "iron sights". Rocket--being a collector of military surplus--is clad in an M43 forage cap, Norwegian field jacket with Swedish Army cotton twill field pants.
