Artist Commentary:

Well.... this might get long.
This has been a long time coming.
Noticing the lack of Naruto art in my gallery. Zabuza & Haku are my favorite characters of all time from the series.
Without rambling for hours... I'll simply say, their relationship reminds of someone very close to home in my heart.
This scene will forever be the most deep and impactful to me of all the very iconically sad backgrounds/stories in the series.
I drew Zabuza in his first outfit as I liked it better. :c

It was Super hard to look at Zabuza and not cry. My heart broke through this entire picture.
I suppose it's my first really emotional piece.

Haku quotes that really hit home for me:
"Can you understand? Not having a dream… not being needed by anyone… The pain of merely being alive."
"I realised the most painful thing…… That in this world… my existence was not needed."
"I want to protect the person important to me… I want to work for that person. I want to fight for that person. I want to make that person's dream come true… That is my dream."

Fun Fact: The Picture of them in the background in the mist is actually a old drawing I did of them, a few years ago.
A sort of way to signal my old self is fading away, and my new artistic talents are blossoming.
