To explain here, in case someone has the inclination to ask (doubtful!): Leerute (like this guy) use magic by penning down commands onto scrolls and then voice-activating them when needed. So basically this guy is 'armored' in that he's covered in spells of protection for mage armor. I may or may not have actually tried to replicate actual kanji in order to make these inscriptions, since I got tired of the 'random dashy line' style of writing I had done for them in the past.
