spent the last 3-4 days working on this… technically these would be AUs since these scenes would happen at roughly the same point in time

the first is canon to Amalgam; V broke into the facility Curie was trapped in, set off the site’s self-destruct measures, and escaped through a rift with the wolf under one arm. They landed on an alien world, where Curie got his very first taste of freedom, and spent hours just rolling around in the grass.

It wasn’t the first time V put his neck on the line to save someone like Curie, and it wouldn’t be the last.

the second is a what-if scenario, where V becomes aware of some information that was being kept from him to prevent him doing exactly what he did. oops! taking on the responsibility for every living thing on the two worlds, he decides the best way to “help” is to micromanage every aspect of life on the planet. To that end he usurps Glory and claims his organisation, forcing Glory himself into servitude and using him as a puppet leader/public face of his movement.

At the core, he’s still trying to help. He just went full fascist dictator to try and make it happen.
