More concept sketches of Horselings- the top is a head shot of a Horseling from the southern plains, who have a much more refined, narrow muzzle and practice ritualized body modifications. Then a concept sketch of Sweetwind, the norther plainsman from The Long Road Home trilogy, wearing what little his people typically wear in the summer (though here he is drawn with the wrong bow). At the bottom is a pregnant Horseling, showing the changes that effect them during the late stages of pregnancy. Horselings are all true hermaphrodites with mostly internalized genitalia, so they will go back to looking like any other Horseling once they give birth and their milk dries up.
