Something like this only worse happened to my mother when my lil sis was tiny kid. My sister started throwing a tantrum because she wanted a watch at a store (3yrs old at time). Not just one, but a small group of ladies started badgering my mother to buy the watch for her because she was "Breaking their hearts". They literally followed her all the way out to the car to keep harassing her over the issue to point she started calling police and they all scattered.
