Iaskel is from a noble family in his species, and could actually be considered a prince. However, he has other, older siblings who would actually be preened to take on any responsibilities or inherit any wealth. He has been more or less left to his own devices, with enough of a stipend to hopefully not get him into too much trouble.

He is vain, prone to whining/righteous indignation if things don't go his way. His standards are quite high, considering, and he can be downright lazy when it comes to basic things like picking up after himself. Nobody ever really taught him how. While he is certainly spoiled, he is far from cruel, and he wouldn't go so far as to put someone through true suffering to meet his expectations. He does enjoy being flattered or being coaxed with gifts, even though he is smart enough to know when they are insincere. He knows politics better than anything else, but he doesn't have the patience for it.

He is naturally curious and prone to being exactly where he doesn't need to be because of it. He is sheltered enough to be interested about humans and their doings, as his people tend to keep to themselves. He is bored at home and often sneaks out as much as he can so he can go explore.

He comes from a desert-dwelling clan and he hates to be cold. He gets a little sluggish, but his temperature never drops as dramatically as a real serpent's would. He has the same tastes as humans, food-wise, except he prefers flavors that would be a little -too- strong for a human palette, whether it be sour or spicy. He would coat his food in pepper or hot sauce given half a chance, or eat a plain lemon.

He does possess retractable fangs and a very poisonous bite, and he would be very difficult to make ill through poison as such. He could probably squeeze someone or deliver a pretty decent smack with the tail, if it ever occurred to him. His nails are fairly long but not that sharp.

TLDR: He is the boy land-dwelling version of the little mermaid or something I dunno
