"They measure 20 to 26 cm long. They are the color green with olive-colored chests and blue wingtips. The area around their eyes has no feathers and is the color white. Their beaks are beige and gray, and their legs are pinkish gray. They have long tails. They weigh about 76 grams. They nest in termite mounds, in trees with natural hollows, or in trees with holes made by woodpeckers. They lay 3 to 6 eggs. They feed on seeds, fruits, legumes, leaves, and flowers. They fly in flocks and sing at almost every hour of the day. Generally, each flock has 20 specimens although it is not uncommon to find them in small groups. It is quite rare to observe them flying alone."
