And the worst of those imaginary friends are those that insist on dropping thick books full of cryptic hints and allegories on people's laps...

    For some reason the set of imaginary friends that "drop" books on peoples' laps and the set of the imaginary friends that tell people to kill others in their name pretty much overlap. (well, the number of people doing the killing is smaller, but is mostly contained within the general population that certain books have come from "invisible friends" to tell them what to do)
