This is my first steampunk style box. It has no gears or cogs but again it is my first attempt. I wanted to start out simple. The next one will be more complex and so on. Its currently on my Etsy page for sale. :)

Just noticed these on your Etsy page! I saw what you have listed there as what it's made of, but I'm wondering which parts are made of which? For example, I'm assuming that awesome metal banding around the edges is in fact made from metal? And what do the insides of them look like? I love to collect small novelty boxes like these, but I've always been able to look at them in person before buying, so I'm curious as to what the hinges look like, what the inside's like, how sturdy it feels, etc.
Sorry if that's a lot of questions! :P

Actually the metal is really Made of foamies. The metal is the latch that keeps it closed. The inside is bare because I like the color of wood. I am glad you like it. I may make more in the future but it all depends on how well they move. Ill update the pictures when i get the chance. :)

Not everything needs to be cogs and flashy brass, there is quite a bit of the nit&grit when it comes to steampunk, and I feel this fits in perfectly still!
