I made this mask for my college class "Art History and Culture of Affrica" a couple years ago. Our instructor wanted to try an experiment and have us all make a mask that reflects something about us and is symbolic of our personality and who we are. She had no idea she opened up a pandoras box LOL I go all out on masks.

So I sculpted this one up and made a mold and cast it in resin. Then I painted it with spray paint and acrylic paints and then took apart a halloween wig and glued it on the mask as a mane. Next thing i did was add the Raven feather and the acorns as beads.

The symbology of it is that the mask is representitive of a horse who is strong, free and noble. The wood texture is oak which is also strength and longivity. The ravens feather is a story teller and good luck.
