Shocking Power AKA Cheetah's Theme (WIP) - Music

Randamyte

Phew! Been a while since I made any music, and what's this? Do my instruments actually sound better? o_O

Why, yes. Yes they do >:3 (For those of you who are new to my music, click here to see what I did before, it sounds so 'basic'!

I've been learning how to use VSTis (Virtual Studio Technology instruments - basically, a ton of kick-ass sounding instruments and effects that can be used with your music making software) in conjunction with Anvil Studio, so now I can get all the lovely sounds of an arranger keyboard, and the timing of digital music 8D

The VSTi I used was Proteus VX. This is the first track I thought was good enough to submit to dA (using Proteus), so consider it your first preview of what's to come!

About the song itself, well, I was inspired by a character in a comic by Arven92 on Deviantart. Namely, this guy. His element is Lightning, so I wanted to use Electric/Dance instruments to make a fast paced track. I couldn't think of a better title, so any other suggestions are welcome! Comments about how to improve are welcome too ^^

I hope you enjoy this track!

Anvil studio? Now there's a blast from the past. When I first decided to be a composer, I made midis with it. Anyway, the song sounds great; it needs polish, but it is a WIP. Keep on at it. :3

Thanks for your comment! ^^ I used to compose on an arranger keyboard (Casio CTK-6000 and Yamaha PSR-E423) but I've gotten into digital stuff now. Anvil seems so much easier because of the horizontal keyboard layout, so it's a little familiar to me X3

And any suggestions on how I can polish it up? :3

Hrm.. Well, the drums sound a bit fuzzy. Try adding an EQ to them and increase the high end a little to give them a little more snap.

Will do! Thanks a lot for the suggestion <3

Hallo! It's been four months but I've finally got to making the finished version! I would appreciate your input on it. ^^ Hopefully, I fixed the drums :P
