Well, it was high time I gave myself a Mascot. I’ve been using my personal avatar/sona as the front of my art accounts for a while now. Normally, I wouldn’t go through the trouble since I don’t mind at all. But the more I thought about it. The more I wanted to keep Rutherford (a black-furred fox) for personal and private interactions.

While I was scrolling through some of my older artworks. I stumbled upon the first, proper design of my avatar. I haven’t decided on a name back then seeing that I just started drawing again. I used to go by [ ItsYaBoiCanis ] because I couldn’t decide on what species to use. But I did know that I wanted to have a canine avatar. And thus, this particular boy was born: [ https://www.weasyl.com/~randomcanis/submissions/2022154/a-redesign ]. I also decided to go by the name [ RandomCanis ] from then on. The Random in my user name because I wanted to do whatever came to my mind. And it stuck!

Fast forward a few months, and the white canine avatar had gone through a few visual updates. And then he became the fox that is Rutherford in the present day. He became the default mascot of my art accounts. But lately, I’ve been wanting to keep him for personal interactions and such. And when I saw the very first iteration of Rutherford. I couldn’t resist and give the visuals a proper update while separating this latest incarnate be a separate entity.

Thus, this boy was born! I always loved the mark I gave to him. So I decided to keep it since it was unique to him and update it along with him.
