Something I've been working on for the past few months. It took me more than I like to admit to settle on a concept. But now that I have, I've been working on it every chance I get.

Hopefully anyone who reads this can understand + follow the story. Instead of it just being an incoherent mess that only I can understand. So here's a piece of the story I've been worling on.

[

Two supposed Gods were locked in combat, one to the death. Two canine like beings doing their best to kill the other. One with blood red eyes and a coat white as snow, a Noble. And the other with royal gold eyes and a coat with varying shades of black, a nameless Wanderer. Both had their reasons to justify their actions.
Magic howls across their makeshift arena as they traded fatal blows. Their blood painting the stage as they fought with all their might. Until they collapse from exhaustion. The Noble missing parts of their flesh. The Wanderer being missing an eye and a torn off limb. Equally wounded but not willing to surrender.
A third god appears before them not long after, a newly crowned Monarch. Roaring orders at the pair to cease their actions. For the Noble was a familiar and the Wanderer was a precious friend.

The Noble roared back in anger. Climbing back to their limbs with vigor as their intended target was in sight. For the young Monarch has stolen what they've tried to claim forcefully. The Wanderer saw an opportunity and charged at the Noble. Hindered by the limb he recently lost, the Noble saw the charge and retaliates. Blood painted the air as the Monarch springs into action a little too late.
The pair immediately unleashed a spell of their own after the clash. A hungry vortex tears the sky apart as the wanderer banished the Noble. Several cracks form on the Wanderer's body as the noble cursed him. And the Monarch watch in horror as their friend's soul was shattered. The Wanderer's royal gold eyes fades into lifeless grey as his soul was ripped apart.
Blue, gold and red shards erupt out of the wanderer's body. The Noble lunging for them with vengeance as the vortex started to devour them. The Monarch tackle them away before any harm was done. But the action caused the blue and red shards to be launched in opposite directions. While the Noble managed to grab the gold shard to be banished with them. The vortex devoured them along with the gold shard and the Wanderer's severed limb.
The Monarch watch helplessly as the vortex closed and the other shards fade away into the void. Now left in tears and the empty husk of their precious friend.

The vortex opened to a world in another realm. One where the animals walked on two legs instead of four. Ejecting the Noble violently, to the point they lost their hold on the gold shard. Which quickly possessed the severed limb of it's original body. Both land harshly on the world, forming craters on impact. The Noble tried to recover after the crash, only for them to start suffocating with the air in this world. For magic did not exist in this realm, they could no longer support their dying body. Unleashing one last wrathful roar before meeting their end.
But the Noble's hatred was too strong. Strong enough for ivory flowers to bloom from their blood. Flowers that acts in the will of the God who cultivated them. It's pollen spread across the world, thanks to the winds. Slowly corrupting the beings who inhabited the world into mindless beasts and slowly ruining the world they lived in. And the gold shard sensing this, used the remaining blood in the severed limb to grow it's own. Ones with the desires to protect the beings.
Thus, the two Gods remained in an endless cycle of conflict. The beings of this world having abandoned it due to the new dangers after centuries. With the gold shard residing in an old machine of war made by the beings to fight against the mindless beasts. As the blue and red shards remained lost to the void. While the Monarch preserved the husk of their precious friend. For it can be revived when it's soul has returned.
