Finally finished this poofy bird's head!
Head was built on a resin base by http://www.furaffinity.net/user/shaggygriffonstudios
Added foam shaping for the cheeks and eyebrows as well as dremeled a lot of the base to alter eye shape, a little of the beak, and some initial asymmetry.
The inside of the head also needed a lot of padding as the owner has a smaller head than what the base was made for. Lots of trial and error getting the fit right, I'm very glad the owner was local.
Specs:
Toony follow eyes
Static Jaw
Back of hood zipper access
5 different furs used
Neck, hood, inner padding fully lined
The brown on the hood and middle face is called "Owl Tuft" from DF and its very different. It appears to be woven bits of yarn that were brushed out, thus creating little clumps and creating a feathered appearance. Very appropriate for a bird!
This head is also in process of being made into a partial and even further into the future a full suit!
