A poem I wrote a while back, got editing today. I should do more furry poems at least a little bit, this one is more general.

It's mostly a tip jar for me, though there's a $5 option that allows a 'behind the scenes' look into my creative madness, what I'm currently working on and what may in all likelihood may never be finished, in some cases-failed works and the like.

And now, the poem:

Morning Cup
by Daniel C. Aaron

You woke the morning up
With your passion and with your love.
You poured a morning cup
And I knew it was the one,

The one I had to drink,
Down and all the way,
To the bottom, from the top;
A little drop of everything.

Because it was your song,
Born out in a thought,
In a cup,
That we’d always have
The day together,
No matter where we were.

You woke the morning up
And I could hear it in your song
That we’d always have the morning light,
That we would never be alone.
We’d always have together.
We’d always have forever.
And every time I take a sip
I can taste your passionate kiss.

You poured a morning cup
And I knew it was the one,
Because you woke the morning up
With your passion and your love.
