While lurking in a stream of one of my favorite artists earlier today, I heard them talking about how art block isn't real and how it's really just a combination of your insecurities and your mindset about your drawing ability. I found there was some truth to that, so I decided to try to force myself to make something.

At first, I hated this picture. I thought I was going to delete it twice because it looked so rough. But after a while, as with all my pictures, it started to look better and I got more confident in bringing it to completion. I'm glad I did it now. It's still a rough piece, with the value underpainting not cleaned up and with no background, but it's tons better than not having drawn anything at all. I think the more I try to produce consistently, the more I can try to extend my boundaries and make some real growth as an artist.

Also, yeah I have no idea what species I am right now so I went with kangaroo. Fite me. ;P
