I awoke slowly... disoriented. Panic started to rise as I became aware that I was floating in water. Strangely, I relaxed a little as I became aware of a mask that allowed me to breathe. I tried to open my eyes - but it took me a herculean effort to even open them a little - so instead I kept focusing my attention on my breathing. I was surprised by how relaxed I was feeling - but I suddenly came to the realization:...That wasn't relaxation! I couldn't move anything except for my eyes. I thought groggily: "What the HELL is going on?".
I had no memory of landing in this water. I couldn't even take a guess who would sedate me and put this mask over my face. As I was thinking this, I drifted back to sleep, with strange dreams of running through a forest.

As I woke up again, I still could not move a finger. I did manage to save up enough will to open the eyes just for a moment before the weakness overtook me again. I saw curved glass - right in front of me - and some vague and dark room behind it. Things felt off - my feeling was returning - slowly. But I was sure I felt the water at some weird point far along my back. There were also my ears. It was absurd, but it felt like they were further up my head somehow.
Another weird sensation came from my feet. I briefly wondered what might cause that feeling. But before I managed to concentrate on them, I lost consciousness again. My dream of the forest returned, but this time it was even stranger. As I was rushing along the shrubs and tree trunks, I realized I was running on all fours and there was something directly in front of my eyes. The only thing that mattered however was that delicious smell that I was following. I knew the source was very close as I took a leap and crashed into it and opened my mouth.

I snapped awake, a red flash and metallic taste the first thing on my mind. I barely managed to move, but I could open my eyes and see clearly now. The room was empty, but there were papers strewn around the floor, like someone left in a hurry for some reason. As I scanned the room for hints of what was going on, I realized I saw a bit of reflection from the inside of my glass prison. I was dumbstruck by what I saw. Some creature with a wolven head looked back at me. I could not believe what I saw. Thinking that must be some illusion, I winked and it winked straight back. I felt my facial muscles grimace and my ears twitch from the shock - and quickly realized the tight black lips that peeked beneath the mask twitched in the reflection, as well as the completely wolven ears that rested on it’s - no - on my head did the same. I glanced down as far as I could and saw that my hands were covered in fur, and my nails pushed out into claws. Further down, my feet weren’t recognizable anymore, and I could only describe them as claws-tipped paws now. As I became more and more anxious, I also felt the distinct feeling from my back again, twitching nervously. In sync with the feeling, I saw some fur tipped thing enter and leave my limited field of vision on the level of my knee. I became more and more agitated and thought over and over again in a frenzy “What the hell is going on? What are they doing to me? How is this possible? Where am I!” After something that felt like eternity, I was mentally exhausted from my panic as the waking word faded away and darkness overtook me again. I was back in the forest, my muzzle close to the water surface of a little river as I was lapping up water with my long tongue. I felt at content and ease, with the water reflecting back a distorted image of my wolven face back at me. I looked downstreams and saw a red haze drifting away from my position that diluted more and more. As I was finished drinking, I stood back up onto my digitigrade legs and scanned my surroundings. I heard a call from the distance, threw back my head and howled my reply.

This time it felt different as I was roused from my slumber. The dream felt more real this time and now I felt energized and powerful. As I looked around, everything looked smaller outside of my prison. I turned my head and observed my meaty hands. I rubbed my thumb against my claw-tipped fingers, feeling the calloused pads on them. Using my new freedom of movement, I started to explore my head with my hands, my wolven ears flicking beneath my fingers. I touched the muzzle, taking care to not disturb the seal that seemed to suck it to my face while allowing me to breathe. Using my tongue, I noticed that my teeth changed their position and shape from what I was used to.
I was also finally able to properly look down at myself, my whole body covered in fur with powerful muscles just beneath them. I realized I had the same digitigrade legs as in my dreams. I felt behind me to grab at my tail, even able to move my new appendage somehow when I focused on it. As the fascination with my new body waned away, a terrifying anger rose within me. I needed to escape! I needed vengeance! I pushed hard and hammered as best as I could against the inside of the glass. After a while I saw with deep satisfaction that a little hairline fracture was visible in the thick glass.

And finally - I punched through, the fluid around me draining through the tear that I managed to create. Without the fluid slowing down my punch, the glass finally shattered into a thousand pieces.
I sniffed the air and picked up a scent. I will make them pay for what they did to me. And so I started the hunt to find whoever was responsible.

So - after a long, LONG time I finally managed to find the time and energy to write and post something again. This was a YCH animation collaboration by NekoGato ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/nekogato ) and Recurrent ( https://www.furaffinity.net/user/recurrent ). It was a pleasure to work with them on this - and they allowed to include a new scene that was not part of the original YCH as well.
