I'm trying to create a race of androids for a setting I'm playing with, there's nothing truly solid except for a few things. The facts are:

• Mercurians are result of the left overs of a race that tried to escape the destruction of Mercury's atmosphere by transmitting their minds into androids, they in turn spend their days trying to build a biological like machine that can feel, eat, reproduce like a living being.

• Mercurians don't officially have races but models instead, there are sets of fighters, construction workers, assassins, accountants and much more. Those were are sex related are the most discriminated against.. It's not just cosmetic as many previous Mercurians were built/born for specific jobs and became instinctual as they grew up, those of "cross-model" tend to have a mix and max set of skills from their parents.

• Mercurians are rarely built from scratch anymore, since Mercurians have special materials in their bodies and magic that allow females to bare childern. Pregnancy is just like the human cycle. Male and female get freaky, nine months later a mini Mercurian is born.

• Speaking of which Mercurians who have kids with non-Mercurians, say like a person from Earth, still can produce a child. They are called Biodroids, they require no energy recharges and upgrades to grow unlike a pure Mercurian but can still partake if they want to.

• Mercurians are very bizarre machines mixing science and magic, they are very odd biological beings that are assembled from metal, plastic and some goo. There are no circuits, instead they have fibers that act like muscle, synthetic compounds that act like blood and cells.

• Upgrades are kind of like birthdays on Mercury, increasing their height, strength, energy capacity and installing skills they can use. Problem is no Mercurian is able to keep upgrading themselves forever, eventually their body can't adapt and eventually face death. There are few exceptions.

• The square soft flap on their collar bone is where food is placed, which is a way to get minor energy boost when needed along with sleep while charging in an energy field. A Mercurian can actually taste as there is sensors in their throats. There are those with a mouth and jaw, but those are few and far between.

• A Mercurian's skin is stiff yet pliable that returns to its original shape.
