Me, Myself, and I.

This is the completed project for my college welcome week, a self portrait that tells you about me, so to speak. But I guess the only things that really come through is that I'm a gross furry and really like nature photo aesthetic? Let me know what you think haha.

This was a labor of love that took an incredibly long time, but was also pretty fun to create. I got to play with and test out brushes I hadn't been able to use before, and this image is hand painted, something I wasn't accustomed to doing in any way. Usually I have a really set technique for shading, and this was basically painting separated in layers in case I jacked up a layer too hard. Incredible project, and very fun. I had wanted to do something like this for a long time. And now that I have this image, I can also make some small alterations and utilize it for the original 3D display work I had in mind for this project, as well as simply use either half of the picture for icons, IDs, and whatever the such :)

Usually I never like painting my real actual face because its a pain to get my exact features and shapes, but I don't think I did too bad! Painting skin is really fun, this whole piece definitely changed my view on digital painting and makes me want to do more digital paintings. The origin size of this file is huge, the long dimension was originally 11,000 pixels, but that was way too big, so I shrunk it down to 8,000 and it still makes for a HUGE image.

Enjoy!
