This was a commissioned present from Sharkattack aka Niemi for Lupicarus, showing his wolf sona with some (more or less) historically acurate roman centurio armour. (all the references, geez! But it was a lot of fun to draw)

Since red is a dominant color in roman armour it seemed quite fitting. Also it looks a little like dried blood and I wanted to have a scene where he just got out of battle or something. :)

I wouldn't have thought of blood while looking at the stains though. I thought it's a reflection /shadow from the leaves around and just read because red is the main color.That must have been a real pain to do all those medals on the breast plate.. wow!

The monochrome red is quite fitting, nicely done and great character.
