DAY 27 OF OC-TOBER: Bonita Luna (ft. Dean Ashford)

“I’d be lying if I said I was completely naive, because I wasn’t, I had learned about Dean Ashford and the fact he was married with three children. Being in my early twenties, fresh into a new country, with little of the main language known, I was both wary and yet excited with all the opportunities that then opened up for me. To be on set and to experience the lifestyle Celestia was known for, and I was the few lucky ones. Least, early on, I thought I was lucky. Pried open from my caution, I toast with sparkly champagne, lavish in the expensive jewelry, and lapped up the affection in being made the most special girl.

It didn’t last, no. Of course it wouldn’t have last long. That was the only part of me being truly naive. I should’ve listened to my gut.

I should’ve known that I was nothing more than an exotic toy for him to play around with when he got bored of his wife. I should’ve known that the thousand dollar gift tag, while meaning the world to me, was barely pocket change for him. I should’ve known that socially, I meant nothing to him, because I was an immigrant with no power attachment, unlike his wife, so he wanted nothing to do with me when he, too, got bored.

I should’ve stayed away. For my sake, and to not be apart of another woman’s pain if she found her husband cheated on her. Olivia Ashford, she is free to hate me, but as for Dean Ashford: I wish him to burn for what he has to me and possibly many other women, all thrown down here like garbage.”
