Ascending the Corporate Ladder - Part 5

RaddaRaem

Corporate life is one full of drudgery, disrespect, and disappointment. Noa, but a simple intern, has internalized these lessons all too well. One fateful morning, fate shines down upon the arctic fox as her errant wish for bigger and better things is granted.

This is the final chapter of Noa's ascension! Hope you enjoyed the story and the pictures!

FIRST, PREVIOUS

Save her jacket, split down the back and dangling from her swollen arms, only Noa's collar remained. No other article of clothing had survived her repeated promotions.

"Hypocritical it may be, I do ask you abide by the recently unveiled dress code even though I do not," Noa boomed. "They just don't make anything in my size is the thing!"

Chest puffed out, the arctic fox casually inhaled some low hanging clouds and tossed her head side to side. The tensing of her muscles, akin to the scraping of tectonic plates, rattled the very earth. What remained of the metropolis Noa once called home, and whose shadows she tread through day in and out, swayed violently in the cavernous wrinkles lining her palm.

Clearing her throat, Noa reached out with her free hand to straighten her name tag. Tangled in a weave of faltering threads it proudly bore her newest and most powerful title to date.

CHAIRWOMAN

"I mean I did fashion myself a hands-on kinds of boss..." the arctic fox warmly smiled at the realization that the entirety of the company, and its operations, quite literally lay within her grasp. Eyes half lidded, Noa lowered her hand to her waist. She could only imagine the view. The thought of the skyline filled with a sheer cliff of white furred abdominals made her tremble. As did the realization that her breasts, practically celestial bodies at this point, blotted the very sky.

She had ascended beyond a CEO. The corporate ladder had been conquered. Yet Noa still desired bigger and better things not just for herself but for her company. For her employees. For the community, magical and otherwise, that allowed her to reach this point. Clearing her throat, the sonic booms radiating out across the continent and displacing entire weather systems, Noa prepared to resume her latest company wide update.

"I know, I know. None of you want to hear 'Do as I say not as I do.' With that out of the way though, I figured you all might like to hear where we plan to go next as a company! Negotiations with your respective Development, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, and Janitorial unions have been bulldozing on at full steam head and you should all expect to see your contracts updated with pensions, shortened work weeks, and generous vacation packages shortly! Furthermore, I know you all have been wondering just where Zahra Industries plans to go from here. The best and the brightest are all but beating down our doors to be a part of our team and our competitors have been falling over themselves just trying to keep up with us in terms of benefits and quality. It's a pretty good place to be, you know? But complacency is a terrible thing."

Toes splayed, Noa peered past her breasts to the gaps between her mountainous digits. Construction roared apace as speck sized apartments and high rises reached up to the undersides of her padded feet. New parks, a walk-able urban center, and subways were to be constructed where her toes had scrunched through the bedrock. All of it possible because Noa had 'persuaded' the local city council to raise taxes on corporations such as hers to appropriate and much more responsible levels.

"Good to myself, good to my employees, good to community... I would've thought being the big boss was a lot harder than this. I always thought not conducting yourself like an asshole was apparently an impossible ask," Noa thought.

"So that's why I was thinking..." Noa rumbled. Lips peeled back into a toothy grin, the arctic fox's body shuddered. Streams of magical energies erupted from her name tag while she spoke and wildly whipped about her creaking frame. She would find out what lay beyond the corporate realm soon enough.

"Why don't we take ourselves global?" Noa cooed.
