This one is based off of a muskrat I rescued in the middle of last winter, who turned out to be very young and very blind. He ended up being called Nutmeg, so I think I'll keep that as the nickname his mom gave him. As for the human name, I think I'll call him Henry. He's around 14, blind from birth and very much a mom's boy. So the reason he looks like a greaser is because Grease was his mom's favorite movie and he liked to listen to it with her. He wanted his mom to dress him like the cool sounding guys like in the movie, so she helped him get all dressed up like a greaser for Halloween one year and he loved it so much he kept dressing like that (with her help of course). His mom passed away when he was around 10, and dad wasn't in the picture so he ended up in a foster home, but they treated him so well and he always felt welcome with them and never like a burden. Some friends still call him Nutmeg, like his mom, after his brown hair. He can read braille and knows some tactile sign language. He's thinking of becoming a teacher in a school for the blind, to help people like himself. His foster home has a lot of siblings, and a few just passing through, but it's always home to him. Yes he usually wears the glasses and has a white cane, but for this sketch I did him without.
