So yesterday I got a new VST from TAL. It's my first purchase from a VST brand that seems to be well known for a brand other than the major ones, and I'm loving it already. It's got multiple different kinds of interpolation, almost all of which are meant to have the aliasing of early samplers, including an actual recreation of the Emulator II engine!
This mp3 showcases some of the modes. In order from first to last:
*Brass fall from the Fairlight Series III library with AM6070 DAC, Emu II DAC, and Sample-Hold DAC (the most aliasing by far, for some reason), all with minimum hiss.
*Synclavier gong sound from the Emulator II libraries with Emu II DAC, minimum and maximum hiss respectively.
None make use of the built-in filter: what you hear is what you get from the sample playback modes. However, for the heck of it, I did throw in some chorus and used the built-in reverb.
