Request: Spirit Headshot 2.0 (critique requested)

PuffPuffWolf

No, you may not use this...
Unless you are: SpiritNight

This is, kind of, a requested re-draw of the first set of headshots I did. SpiritNight came back and asked for a minimal, and I'm super impressed on the quality now than before. I had no idea how to use my art program before, and now that I get it, and have been using my mouse for a longer time, I can draw better!
If you want to see the difference: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/1081373/requests-headshot-bundle-1

Thanks for viewing!
I'm open for Commissions of these headshots~

Oh wow, that's neat. I love the way that you don't include the eyes, it actually adds a really nice atmosphere and sense of mystery to the image. Very nice.

      Thank you so much <3
(I actually had to do a double take because I got so overwhelmed by this comment)
I started doing this style as sort of a Minimal style, with a little bit more definition and shape. I absolutely hate lines and making eyes on the computer (since I draw with a mouse) and started this style with a test (which became my current icon).
I totally agree about the mystery about them, since there is no eye(s) or mouth, you can really imagine it in any expression!

Yeah, it's awesome. ^.=.^ Very unique style, I certainly like it.

While it certainly does not include fine details, you've done a great job in the minimalist style. It's simple, to the point, and pleasing to the eye. However, the only thing I would say is the three green diamonds on the cheek are noticeably different in size and it throws me off a bit, so next time you should make sure they're equal in size! Other things you can improve on are to make sure that all your lines are smooth because you're working with a style that is greatly dependent on shape, so it is very important that all of your lines are clean! (https://i.gyazo.com/2235df95f4a9e8104e12ff3943623958.png here are some spots where I've noticed that line smoothness could use some work) Keep up the good work!

Regarding the diamonds, they are supposed to be different sizes, I would consult the owners reference before pointing out a marking detail.
Yeah. Near the end, when I was doing the ear plugs, I just was so drained from the day that I gave up Dx for the markings, I do everything on one layer and wing most of it, I never use a sketch or start with a lined product so making the markings is sometimes tough. Also keep in mind that I use a mouse and the program I use is to help smoother and give pen pressure to a mouse so I can't always control how it looks as the final product.

Thank you very much, this is really informative to me that people actually pay attention and aren't afraid to actually say what might need improving. Also the fact that these are just requests makes me kind of not always try to fix small things (money bribes make me better xD) though I do try to me my requests not low quality compared to commisions, in fact I think they'd be a bout equal but less touch ups on request. Those things you pointed out were a lot bigger before and there was more, but it's also a fairly new style for me that people seem to really like and it's great because on this community you can actually be seen unlike on Da and Fa, where it's so crowded that a small person can't even be seen.

Really, really thank you. I appreciate it!
