I know you've stated not to make such comments, but technically sharks can drown, it all really depends on the environment or what's in the water.
Now pushing that to the side, I couldn't help but note this, this have been done well and it's a beautiful concept, vent piece or not!
I think what I could say for a critique is the bubbles coming from the mouth. It looks more like a cloud than air bubbles escaping, I think there should have been a bit more detailing, probably lines indicating that those are bubbles perhaps? Adding a bit more sharpness to it possibly?
Besides that, this is a beautiful piece, lovely work!
