she lives in a plane away from the main rings of hell where hellhounds are born from the ash and crystal dust and their job is to climb to the various gates of hell around the world and escort the souls of the damned to where they will spend eternity

there are other, much larger hellhounds that personally see to the torture of these souls, though.
