The Ouroboros and his Lady stood before the brazier of fiery energy in excitement,
listening to its crackling while admiring the hot and bright wisps of the flame.
With a smirk of dare, Agnes was first to cast her own hand into the fire’s core;
Auran followed with a grin, easily accepting the challenge as his hand met hers.
But the fire did not burn them: instead, the heat and energy syphoned into their bodies,
its essence mixing with their lifeforce to grant them both new powers!
Agnes watched as some of her fur and scales turned into hot charcoal, her skin glowing,
barely containing the bright energy that now resided inside her like an active volcano!
Her hair moved like the wisps of the flame, and literal flames arced between her fingers
while her body took off, becoming buoyant in air thanks to the incredible heat!
Meanwhile Auran was enjoying increased vigour as a very similar energy reshaped him,
his scales taking a burnt colour while his legs welded together with his tail,
eventually taking the serpentine form of a powerful salamander of elemental fire!
His new crest rose like the front of a forest fire between his new spiky coils,
and he himself could now rise taller upon them, incinerating anything in his wake!
Thrilled by such power, their eyes glowed with the colour of the purest flame;
who could dare to stop them now?
