Alright, this submission's something of a double-feature. Let's start from left to right.

Firstly, at live long last, my new icon! About time too considering I had the old one for, what, nearly a decade now? This upgrade was long overdue. I might do the same for my other art site accounts (and maybe fanfiction ones too) if people don't mind.

That aside, I could have made the little guy a little fancier, but sometimes simpler is best. Besides, a true gentleman needn't deck themselves out to be respected. Everything else below the full body reference is just me having fun with faces and poses.

And now for the right side, mainly the part I'm confident will set at least one person off.

Yes, the blue Sonic-esque version of my fursona over there is a self-insert, a Sonicsona no less. Normally, I'm not the type to do stuff like this cuz I know how people tend to be about self-inserts in general, but a certain minor character caught my eye and I'm smitten. <3

The IDW Sonic comics are... a trip to to say the least. The new characters, the godforsaken Metal Virus, the sense of continuity both within itself and regarding the games: the series is a lot more than I expected and does not pull punches, least of all with its character designs. Yes, that includes all the background characters, too, because around Issue #45 and into 46, we get this guy: link.

Just...mm! That design is simply too good - which is why the fact he has no name in canon hurts, he's that minor of a character! Well then, until the canon says otherwise, I'm calling him Flint (cuz ironic names are the best) and he and I are happily married.
