The oldest of my older brother's gerbils.
Isn't he adorable?!?
UPDATE: I found out, that he died a few days ago, of old age. I'll miss him, and, may this sweet little guy, rest in peace!

It was already months ago.
But never the less, at least we had good times, with this little buddy.
Joe was quite amusing, when he was alive.
We once even gave him a spoon-full of cream-cheese, (back when another gerbil I had, which was black furred, was alive) and Joe himself, grabbed ONTO the spoon, while he ate it; they both enjoyed it, in fact! XD

Aww a good treat is always good! ^w^ Probably best if those sorta treats were rare though. It can be very unhealthy if too often :<
When I have a bowl of cashew nuts, I like to keep some in the packet to save as occasional treats for my gerbils. I always buy plain though. Salted nuts could shorten their lives! D: I roast and salt my own cashew nuts but leave them plain for my gerbils cos I try to keep them happy and healthy. :3-
We only gave it to Joe, once, as a delicacy. (Alongside a black gerbil, that my brother used to call "Frank"; he died, sooner.)
Also, I didn't know salted nuts are bad, for gerbils; thanks for letting me know!
But never the less, plain nuts, for the gerbils, sounds like a nice idea.

Ah yeah, my gerbil Dusky is also black with a little white on his snout and front paws. :3
And yeahh.. salt, sugar, too much fats can be pretty unhealthy for them :<
plain nuts do have a few natural fats so it's best not to give too much as they can become overweight. I give my gerbils half a nut after they been running about in their exercise ball. It helps give them energy. gerbils also enjoy a little spinach and kale every now and then. :D if ya need any more advice then just sayyy ^-^ my family has alot of pet rodents cos they cute and lovable :3 my sister use to have pet hammies but they died of old age so she has a rabbit now. my mum also has two guinea pigs but they're kinda getting old so I'll try spend more time with them-

But we mostly feed them either gerbil food, (bought from a pet store) or we give them some leftover vegetables, anyways.

My gerbils are kinda getting bored of their same old gerbil food (mum keeps buying the same everytime) so I hope to buy a different kind of gerbil food for once ^-^;
I know the feeling of eating the same old food everytime, it gets rather boring..-
Yeah, I know; everything in moderation.
Often at home, when we make something with vegetables in it, we give some of the leftover vegetables, to the gerbils. (And they LOVE it!)

ohh wow! it's been a whole year, time goes quick! well.. kinda ^w^;
one of my gerbil's passed away, Nibbles was good company for Dusky but due to mum teasing him, he kept biting people D: but at least the friendly one known as Dusky is still alive and kicking! he's doing so well for his age, I'm happy for him and he's really sweet, he wouldn't hurt a fly :3-
I'm sorry about Nibbles.
I'm pretty sure, that Dusty is adorable!

yee! he's so cute, I see him drinking water right now, his little paws are out X3 now he's waiting at the door, I think he wants to say hi to me now! one min as I give him some love ^w^
