3:18
the people that lived here
were never the kindest, in fact
they were cruel, but goddamnit,
nonetheless they're people
we have to suffer just to
provide context for
the trials awaiting our
every waking moments' choices
and if we fail while trying
it is alright, we still tried
we can cry, but it makes us
no worse off as humans
for if we really make no
difference at all, we act not
and it costs us all so,
we fail to learn from problems
and going forth into the future is real
difficult with no heart,
compassion, empathy, or
human kindness
so please try not to act
with such great disdain
when realizing the folly of your
farcical purview of blindness
"just give me truth inside a vial or pill,"
you may shrill, but the truth
is that you can find
the love inside you
and if it comes from the affection of earth
then it's worth, making part
of your life and that
does include yourself
but if you spend your time
in isolation and shelter
your eyes from the world
you may not recognize the truth
then when it does reveal itself
to us all, you will scoff
laugh it off, as a joke
that just feels far too uncouth
though in the past our families
struggled to last, you feel that
there is nary a
relevant modern example
so i remind you now to
hold your tongue then if
and when you cry "injustice!";
like you said it's just a sample
the people that lived here
they fought to divide and conquer,
from within thus their sin
is why they're not together
the people that lived here
they sure had it all, then the fall
of the family showed faults that
never felt apparent
the people that lived here
cultivated fear
it's unclear what the purpose
was to their complex relationship
since it reflects the way we're
conditioned to respond to
the threats of everyday life,
then we make it matter
why does this have to mean
it controls the mind, what we do,
what we say, and the way we
seek out other people?
you have the power to be
better than that, and in fact
you must have yourself a whole
lot more ground to cover
being emotionless is much easier
than working 10-6
as a full-time
unrequited lover
so let the memories of the
consternation of your childhood
mind, frail as glass, let them pass
for it's gone
