Ahhh goodness, thank you! This is a mythological beast from Hinduism that has been interpreted in many forms - sometimes with a fish, peacock, or seal's tail, an elephant, deer, or crocodile's forelegs, and an elephant's head. I've seen interpretations of it as just a fish with a long nose or even just a crocodile. Apparently, it carries the river goddess Ganga on it's back, and for some reason in a lot of art it is depicted with creatures or gods coming out of it's mouth. It's a very strange but interesting beast!

Love the attention to detail with the lines. It really looks beautiful on the scales.

Whhaaa such a cute awesome little beastie ;; Nice work with the trickiness that is getting the likeness of an elephant without having it overwhelm the rest of the creature!
