Prisms are a closed species and not open for free creation.

on the left we have a nocturnal Prism with a palette i keep seeing and wanted to try out
nocturnals get their energy from moonlight rather than direct sunlight and therefore must have large dark crystals to absorb as much light for energy as possible, they also thicker fur to keep them warm and while their night vision is already exceptional, if extra light is needed they can direct some energy to their markings and make them glow (though it's a pretty draining process to keep up)

on the right is a Prism that was born with a near white crystal
a light colored crystal absorbs very little light making the Prism very weak and lethargic, stunts growth, and hinders the immune system and healing
those born with a completely white or transparent crystal don't survive into adolescence

these guys are pretty special and i'm a bit reluctant to part with them, but i know that they'll just sit around unused if i keep them...
